Dear Valued Customer,
Service Software would like to announce the release of Punchlist Manager.NET™
Version 4.2.0. This release contains several changes and improvements
to our award-winning warranty management system.
Enhancements:
- Cookies are being used now, and will effect tabbed browsing. This will increase
speed and performance. Pop up says, "Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet
site, Operation aborted."
- Item (order) number, Item (order) Title and Job address added to the Subject line
on the email send functionality improves the view for vendors.
- Send on sync functionality, allowing mobile users to send work orders via fax or
email when the synchronization is performed.
- On the Vendor and Job Portals, the "Builder" has been removed from the Contact Builder
Tab.
- All custom fields have been added to the Job Detail report.
- On System Setup -> Settings -> List Types, separate or have the ability to
view lists on the job portal and/or submit lists on the portal.
- Hot Sheet 1 and Hot sheet 2 add Job ID to the report and ast more space for Job
ID.
Bug Fixes:
- On the Service Request report using group by area, maintain walk order of open and
closed items when showing just open items.
- When report logos are selected if you log into multiple or all sites, it should
choose the default report logo and header.
- When a vendor submits a change, the notification is logged into the system on the
job's correspondence and it puts in the name of a random employee in the created
by employee column.
- Jobs under warranty on Project page shows wrong number of future warranty dates.
- Accepting Homeowner Items to Process does not properly assign the vendor to the
category assigned.
- ActiveX Viewer compiler error fixed.
- Job Portal Submissions - When an owner adds a new list from the portal and it is
accepted it is using site (1)'s list numbering.
- When action taken is saved always put a carriage return (or a space) after each
block of text so that there is a space in between.
PLEASE NOTE: There were bugs reported that can be fixed
by clearing your temporary internet files folder, and making sure that the client side changes have been applied to each workstation that will be using
Punchlist Manager.NET™.
Service Software is proud to release Version 3.1 of our Mobile application.
The following are the enhancements and bug fixes related to this release:
Enhancements:
- Send on Synchronization function added to the item. When an item is created or the
check box is checked Send on Sync, it will send via the trades preferred method
of contact the item (either Fax (provided that you have a fax service) or email),
date and time stamp the item.
- The Quality process tab, now has the added feature of being able to view inspections
by project, type and open/closed or all.
- Bar-coding of equipment has been added to the item/job detail. You can scan equipment’s
barcode and select a return date as well as return equipment by scanning the equipment’s
barcode; this function will automatically create the cost/charge detail on equipment
return.
- Color coding of tasks, as a stage/area gets completed it gets coded with a “Star”
for completed, making your walks easier to view and see where you are in the process.
- List Summary Report – Available on Pocket PC at the list detail. You can now print
a simply summary of your items from the List detail.
Bug Fixes
- Red Flag on double click displays a box of the red flag notes.
- Save and add another on Quality processes, adds name/date/time stamp.
- On exceptions report, top right column now contains an initials line.
- Issue on saving new walks, not allowing saving is resolved.
- Logo now changes based on product, Inspections, Punchlist Mobile, Restoration Mobile.
- Quality Process text was not allowing for large blocks of text.
You will also want to add your Punchlist Manager.NET™ site to the "Trusted Sites"
Zone in internet explorer to keep some features from being blocked by a Microsoft
update.
The upgrades will be completed the night of May 13, 2008.
